About The Ingredients:

Syn-Ake® is an anti-wrinkle active compound based on a synthetic tripeptide that mimics the effect of Waglerin 1, a peptide that is found in the venom of the Temple Viper, Tropidolaemus wagleri. The Syn®-Ake peptide acts by reducing muscle cell contraction, smoothing mimic wrinkles in a short period, and is reversible. This compound was awarded numerous patents and was so effective that it was also lauded by the Swiss Technology Awards, because it was proven to reduce wrinkles by up to 52% and to create a smoothing effect by up to 82% within the first few weeks of application.

Venuceane® possesses activity that mimics the anti-free radical (anti-oxidant) protective enzymes found naturally in the skin such as SOD, catalase and glutathione peroxidase. Venuceane® provides much stronger protection to the skin than more commonly known vitamin antioxidants such as Vitamin E. In fact, in vivo test showed that Venuceane® is capable of protecting against lipid peroxidation and DNA damage from UVA radiation. Capsaicin is the active heat component of hot peppers. It is proven to increase calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) release from sensory neurons by stimulating vanilloid receptor-1 (VR-1). Since CGRP increases production of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) in fetal osteoblasts in vitro, it is possible that sensory neuron activation by capsaicin increases production of IGF-I. In one study, researchers attempted to determine whether topical application of capsaicin and related compounds increases dermal IGF-I levels and facial skin elasticity in humans. Topical application of 0.01% capsaicin to faces of 17 healthy female volunteers for seven days significantly increased cheek skin elasticity. Capsaicin also increases topical blood flow and promotes healing while reducing irritation and creating super permeability through the skin surface.

Witch Hazel is well known for its soothing powers on the skin. Anytime your skin feels rough or blistered, witch hazel natural care is the perfect way to make it feel better. BEWARE of wrinkles products that claim to use extreme percentages of peptides above 10%. In most cases, they could not be using that amount because the cost would be astronomical and percentages over 10% generally will not become perfectly solvent in most formulations. Most importantly, using too high of a percentage doesn't help a wrinkle product work better. In fact, if you use too high of a percentage for most peptides, it can actually damage your skin. This is why the ingredient companies that create and own the patents to the most famous peptides such as Syn-Ake, Matrixyl and Argireline, generally perform clinical trials at percentages between (2% - 5%). Peptides are most effective at these percentages and they are also safe at within these ranges. Anything above the 5% range can be dangerous or just plain ineffective. In essence, too much of a good thing is not always good and that's true about anti-aging peptides. The percentages of peptides in venomous are designed at the proven levels used for clinical studies. Also - we don't use Argireline because Syn-Ake works better and Argireline can create allergic skin reactions in some people.
